Bringing up the elephant in the room

Dear friends
I made a mistake said something stupid that I wished I hadn’t. I tried to clear it but I fumbled and moved on.
Today the client I said it to brought it up to clear the air. They gave me the opportunity to apologize. I am very grateful they could have harbored their irritation with my moment of dissonance but instead they called me and said “Do you have a minute?” I said yes, they said “Ok. I would like to clear something up…”
It took courage for them to make the call. I appreciate the opportunity to retract my fumbled words and apologize.
I am human. I make mistakes. I will be growing my whole life long. I “practice” forgiveness, getting better at it.
Forgiveness is currently the main focus on Monday Mornings now.

You too can bring up your elephant with me or someone else. I can only speak for myself and promise to do my best to correct the previous the experience(s) and move on to brighter times apart or Together.

With optimistic courage and love,
Christopher Davis

Raising money for the Ruth Ellis Center and our weekly schedule

Hello everyone,
This Moon we are raising money for the Ruth Ellis Center in Highland Park.

25% of the proceeds from our Gong Immersions at our studio are going to support the Good Work of Ruth Ellis House.
⭐️This includes all regular scheduled weekly events, private gong sessions for individuals and groups, as well as Gift Certificate Sales. It also includes any of our larger group events in Bloomfield Hills.

About Ruth Ellis Center
The Ruth Ellis Center, incorporated in 1999, is a youth social services agency that serves the needs of runaway, homeless and at-risk youth. We are one of the nation’s leading experts on vulnerable youth who are experiencing residential instability. The mission of the Center is to “provide short and long-term residential safe space and support services for runaway, homeless, and at-risk lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender, and questioning youth.” The REC is the only organization in the country that has a Residential program for LGBTQ youth in the foster care and juvenile justice system, and is mission specific to LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness. While the Center emphasizes serving LGBTQ youth who are often ostracized, shamed, and denied services by other agencies, no youth, regardless of gender identity and/or sexual orientation is turned away or denied services. Furthermore, all youth who seek our assistance receive the highest level of services based on trauma informed care, late adolescent development theory, and best practices for serving homeless youth.

The Ruth Ellis Center operates three programs:

Ruth’s House – our residential housing program for youth ages 12-17 who are in the foster care or juvenile justice system.
Second Stories Drop-In Center providing basic services and safe space for youth and young adults ages 14 to 24.
Second Stories Outpatient Mental Health Services
The administrative offices and Drop-in Center are located at 77 Victor St. in Highland Park. The Center, founded in 1999, is a 501 ( c ) 3 nonprofit organization and receives funding from individuals, foundations, corporations, community groups, faith-based organizations and the government.

Grief in the space of the Gong

We all have loved ones missing from our life. Grieving is one of the most difficult emotional states for us to deal with. It is complicated even for therapists. Many of us are told “get over it”. Let Us be Clear one does not “just” get over grief. We humans have feelings to process and to accept and complete. Therefore, we go THROUGH grief, until we have come to a clearer sense of understanding. This is an individualized process.
Grief has a psycho/physiological effect upon our digestion.
In short, shock disrupts digestion and balanced neurotransmitter production and is exacerbated by the confusion, physical weakness and the desire for life to return to “normal”.
Music and sound has a long standing history of helping us get in touch with our feelings.
When we are grieving we are given an unplanned, unwelcome opportunity to grow. Maybe we are offered the ability to become soft like the Tai Chi master. We could accept that we will cry when we need to cry,and sleep when we need to sleep. As embarrassing as it might be for us, it might also free us and give us better health.

What is so Sacred about Sacred Wave Gong Immersions?

What is so Sacred to us at Sacred Wave Gong Immersions and our service to the world?
Answers:
Freedom.
The facilitation of your compassionate freedom.
Your free consciousness / your individual freedom. By freedom we mean the ability to choose the loving act in any situation.
Clarity and healing
Creating the space for you to feel safe.
Creating the space for you to commune with yourself, your connection with life and your connection with the divine, the way you view the divine to be.
Creating the combination of sounds that allow you to process and let go and heal layers of grief, discomfort, hurt and negative perception.
Releasing fear, habits and anger and replacing them with higher vibrations of courage, conscious intentionality, optimism, Love and bliss.
Forgiveness.
The practice and discipline of strengthening the individual ability to choose forgiveness, love and compassion.
Life.
These are our answers as plain as we can make them today.
